House Construction

Work started on the house on Thursday 08/7/08 after lunch. There already existed part of a foundation that was built over 9 years ago. I job to use the existing structure and build a house for the family to live in. It would have 3 small rooms 2 metal doors and 3 metak/screened windows. Our budget for competing house was $2500. , which was raised by the team.

Stephanie painted this picture back in 2006 after a trip to Honduras. The picture is of Fidel a pastor that we have worked with baptizing one of his members on one of our trips.

Honduras

We went to Hunduras 08/06/08 - 08/14/08 on a mission trip to build a house for a family which included a grandmother named Luz, 1 grandson named Hoseway, 1 granddaughter name Mitie and the childrens mother who worked every day from 7 am to 6 pm. The local church helped with project. Our team consisted of 8 people, we carried 600 flip flops, 500 pencils, 125 packs of crayons, note pads, etc. to give to the children. While there we met many new friends that we will never forget, and old ones that we have met before. We witnessed God work in many ways. He took a team of 2 men 4 youth and 2 women and gave us the ability to build the house in 4 days.
We witnessed grandmother Luz who has very little giving all that she has, you see they had 4 chickens that were used to produce eggs for food. On Monday morning when we arrived to the work site we all witnessed her preparing 2 of the chickens to be put into a stew to feed the workers.
